After installing the emulator, all you need to do is transfer the Gameboy ROM to your Android device, and open the rom.

Theres lots of Gameboy emulators you can download for Android from the Play Store. Once you successfully patched your ROM, you can now play it! If you are using a mac, you can use Multipatch instead. If you still do not understand, here is a video example provided by Lpknathan: You can save over the old Pokemon Brown ROM file if you want to continue where you left off. xDelta's output file does not have a file extension by default, so you have to add it yourself. Name it anything you want, but make sure that you also add ".gb" at the end of the file name. This will be the modified version of the ROM that you will play. Once you downloaded and unzipped the Pokemon Red ROM, you can continue with the patching instructions. You can find a clean Pokemon Red ROM on. This ROM cannot have been altered in anyway. The Pokemon ROM filename can't have (E) or (J) at the end, it must either have (U) or nothing at the end.
